Overview: Arts and Humanities for Every Student (AHFES) continues to show dramatic increases in demand. Since 1998, AHFES has served more than half-a-million students and educators. In addition, thousands of teachers and administrators have attended our Professional Development Workshops.

Arts and Humanities for Every Student (AHFES) Working in tandem with our members, the DC Collaborative provides equitable access to high quality arts and humanities education experiences for all DC public and charter school students..

Arts and Humanities for Every Student

Annually the Collaborative strives to:

  • Provide up to 35,000 individual student field-trip registrations
  • Offer more than 500 AHFES programs
  • Work with at least 120 DC public and public charter schools

Professional Development

Our member-provided Professional Development workshops help educators (teachers, teaching artists, and education administrators) integrate the arts and humanities into classroom instructional programs.

Annually the Collaborative strives to:

  • Offer 25+ Professional Development Workshops 
  • Provide at least 200 educators with Professional Development Workshops offered by our members
