Education

Offer a positive youth development (PYD) intervention to enhance talent, creativity, resiliency, applied academic competencies, and social emotional competence of program participants. Goal is to integrate applied creativity with any and all of students' study subjects in order to strengthen their academic capacity to learn well.

Description of Education Initiatives: "Great Initiative For Talented Students (G.I.F.T.S.) Applied Fine Art Institute" - Teaches basic drawing and basic painting using their academic subjects as the basis for their models and still lives. "Career Visualization: Art for Job Readiness" - Students create visuals of their potential career, focusing on a positive future they choose, while learning digital media arts: web design, video production, photography and graphic design. "Bonsai Drawing Workshop" - Engage students to define and name what they value, build imagination, understand the important impact of words and thoughts, encourage keen observation skills and focus leading to innovative thoughts and expressions and to reflect on and appreciate nature.
